Debate displays contrasts

John McCain and Barack Obama trade shots and show their differences in style and beliefs.» Analysis

• Democrats claim progress in reaching financial rescue deal
• Sen. Kennedy returns home after brief hospital stay
• 28 die in latest northwest Pakistan offensive against insurgents
• Subpoenaed Sarah Palin aides don’t appear at abuse probe
• Freight train brakeman in deadly L.A. train collision sues
• Chinese astronauts prepare for country’s first-ever spacewalk
• DJ AM is released from burn hospital after fiery plane crash

Interesting, Yahoo! still choses to bash Palin after the debate, and look at the headline about the financial rescue.  Yahoo! give the Democrats credit for gaining progress.  They could just as easily anounced that the Democrats failed to reach a consensus or that the Republicans refuse to sign on to a simplistic Democrat plan.  Going back to Palin, how many times did the Clintons refuse to yield subpoenaed documents, and the press never harped on them?
