OK, I’m not sure how long I will continue with new parts to innovation. I’ll think of a new naming convention soon, I hope. If it is true that we can all be innovative in our society, what is it that we expect to gain from innovation? What is the societal norm for rewarding innovation? What do you think is tragic if an innovator does not receive it in return for his/her innovation?
I don’t have an answer to this question. It does seem shameful that corporations get the rights to patents their employees are granted. It also seems a bit strange how there is so much talk about income disparity yet also talk about rewarding those that deserve it.
How much should innovators/inventors be rewarded? More than politicians who make rules that they don’t follow? This is something we should be thinking through as a society in my opinion.
